British Motor Heritage run open and free to all drivers
Fancy seeing some of the UK's finest automotive landmarks before
they've all gone?
Then come along, bring your car, and have some fun.

Plenty of S2N style fun will be had on next week's Heritage Run...
A FUN-RUN open to all vehicle types and ages will take place on
Saturday 21st June, taking in some of the old and new sights relating to the
Midlands motor industry. The leisurely event has been organised by StreetSafari.com,
the company behind infamous banger rallies such as Staples2Naples and Calais2Casablanca.
Justin Clements, who runs StreetSafari.com, explained; “The
British Heritage Motor Run is for people who want to drive an interesting route,
using their regular daily drives, sports cars or classic vehicles. It’s
been organised as a fun, free day out for anyone who enjoys driving. It will
offer something different to the series of banger rallies we organise each year,
which are challenging European road trips for cars bought for £100 or
less.”
Entry to the British Motor Heritage Run is completely free of charge
and anyone is welcome to come along, in any car they like. So far, a real mixture
of cars have signed up to take part, including a Focus ST170, a Triumph Herald,
an MX5, a Union Jack Mini, a Princess, a SEAT Leon and a Rover P6.
The route will start at the Longbridge factory in Birmingham, passing
Land Rover in Solihull, then on to Prodrive in rural Warwickshire, before taking
in Coventry’s old Triumph factory, the Ryton Peugeot plant and finally
Silverstone. There will also be a stop-off at the Heritage Motor Museum in Gaydon,
home to Land Rover and Aston Martin. The route has been deliberately designed
to include some fantastic driving roads.
The day will finish with a few beers at a hotel near Bicester,
where participants can stay overnight, or camp nearby.
